A lifelong creative, doing what I love and attempting to share it with the world.
I hate calling myself an "artist", and have complicated feelings on the title itself. It sounds wrong to grant myself the title of artist, it feels guilty. I believe it must have something to do with the artists I admire most. Edgar Allen Poe, Amedeo Modigliani - these are two artists that have inspired me more than any other "famous" figure in life; but they were not given the title of "artist, writer, poet" or even recognized for their talents until they had passed on. So for me to sit here and call myself an artist - the same title given to these men who did their work for expression, and love only, feels a bit disrespectful. I think I will call myself instead a creative for now. I feel that "artist" is an earned title. Anyway, I had been creating since I was a kid building things out of cardboard and duct tape, painting and drawing etc. Growing up in Portland exposed me to creative folk unlike anywhere else on the west coast. It was not until I was in my late teen years though, that I found my voice via canvas with the help of some amazing artists that became life long friends, and a teacher that challenged me every day who has too, become a lifelong friend. It started with an emotional charcoal piece conveying the monotony of life, and the silence of creativity. It was different than anything I had ever produced, it was spooky, it was emotional, it was genuine. That piece was named "Allen". Allen is, and has been hanging on my Grandparents wall for the past decade. Allen and my friends inspire me everyday.
Ten years ago, I was quoted saying "I work with my hands from the heart, not behind a screen with a mouse." in regards to digital artwork. I was an odd duck when I was younger, admittedly, and I was ignorant then. Today I enjoy using digital tools to manipulate my physical work including my photography, paintings, as well as creating art that is entirely digital, from start to finish.

Justicelamb.com is a website showcasing work both old and new, featuring reflections and self critiques, a gallery, and shop selling stickers, apparel, originals and more. While most artists trying to make a living stick to a theme (often as we are taught in schooling), my page is for me and you. You will find work centered around my favorite things. It won't be for everyone, and that is okay. Art regardless of media is expressive, it was never meant to be harnessed my commercialism.
